1. Causes of cylinder liner cavitation
The cavitation parts of the cylinder liner of the machine appear on both sides of the outer surface of the cylinder liner along the swing direction of the connecting rod, and the shape is a honeycomb hole group with a diameter of 1~5mm and a depth of 2~3mm. The main reasons for the analysis of cylinder liner cavitation are as follows:
(1) Stroke shock vibration
When the diesel engine is working, after the cylinder liner is vibrated, the outer wall cooling water generates local high pressure and high vacuum, and then evaporates to form small bubbles attached to the outer wall of the cylinder liner, and the bubbles generate great impact pressure when they burst. The outer wall of the cylinder liner is under the repeated strong impact and vibration of the pressure wave for a long time, and its metal surface produces fatigue damage, which first produces pitting, and then expands into foam-like or sponge-like cavitation, or even perforation.
(2) Manufacturing error
Specifically include: the matching clearance between the cylinder liner and the cylinder bore is too large; the matching clearance between the piston and the cylinder liner is too large; the connecting rod is deformed and the crankshaft axial clearance is too large; the cylinder liner wall is relatively thin, the material is relatively poor, and the manufacturing process is defective.
(3) Pollution of cooling water
Regular use of hard water containing impurities and serious pollution, easy to make the cylinder liner cavitation damage. The temperature of the cooling water is too low, the cooling water is insufficient, and the mixed use of different coolants will accelerate the damage to the outer wall of the cylinder liner.
(4) Chemical corrosion
When the diesel engine is working, the iron in the gas and the iron carbide form a micro battery in the upper part of the cylinder liner at a higher temperature, which produces chemical corrosion, coupled with shock and vibration, will accelerate the corrosion and cavitation of the cylinder liner.
