Installation steps:

Pre-test:

Put the cylinder liner without water blocking ring (or water stop ring) into the cylinder block for a try to ensure that the cylinder liner can rotate flexibly without obvious shaking.

At the same time, check whether the size of the cylinder liner step above the cylinder block plane is within the specified range.

Prepare the water blocking ring:

Regardless of whether the cylinder liner is new or old, all new water blocking rings should be used during installation.

The glue of the water blocking ring should be soft and crack-free, and the specifications and dimensions should meet the requirements of the original engine.

Lubrication:

Apply some soapy water around the water blocking ring to facilitate lubrication. The cylinder can also be properly coated.

Pressing in cylinder liner:

Gently push the cylinder liner into the corresponding cylinder bore according to the indicated cylinder bore sequence number.

Use a special installation tool to slowly press the cylinder liner into the cylinder body to ensure that the shoulder is tightly attached to the upper plane of the cylinder body stop.

It is forbidden to use a hand hammer to smash hard.

Measurement and adjustment:

After installation, measure with the inner diameter dial indicator, and the deformation (size reduction and out-of-round) of the water blocking ring shall not be greater than 0.02mm.

If the deformation is large, the cylinder liner should be pulled out to repair the water-blocking ring and then reassembled.

After the cylinder liner is installed, the upper shoulder of the cylinder liner shall protrude from the plane of the cylinder body by 0.06~0.12mm, which shall be tested before the water blocking ring is installed.

When the amount of protrusion is small, a copper sheet of appropriate thickness can be added to the upper shoulder of the cylinder liner; when the amount of protrusion is too large, the upper shoulder of the cylinder liner should be turned.
